PROGRAMS:
Trades & Technology
The Environmental Technology Program (ETP) is a two-year program that incorporates classroom, lab, and fieldwork experience to develop the necessary skills for graduates to find employment as environmental practitioners in a variety of fields: natural resource management, fish and wildlife conservation, waste management, environmental protection and parks management. The awareness, transfer and respect of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit are integral to this program, with elders and Inuit professionals regularly participating in classroom and field settings to share their cultural knowledge.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive an Environmental Technology diploma and will be qualified for employment opportunities with the territorial and federal governments, land claims organizations, and private industry, as well as furthering their studies in environmental education at a university-level.
